Kanchenjunga North & South Base camp Trek takes the travelers to the base camps of northern Kanchenjunga and southern Kanchenjunga. The trekking adventure takes place through spectacular views of Jannu Mountain Peak from the high pass of Mirgin La along with peaceful village laying on the borders of Sikkim an Tibet.

Kanchenjunga North & South Base camp Trek starts from Kathmandu where the travelers take the ride to Basantapur passing through the cities of Dharan, Dhankuta, and Hille. The travelers take the trek from Basantapur to Chauki which takes six hours where Chauki is a small village with few lodges and Nepali tea shops. The travelers carry on their trekking crossing through deep remote Himalayan places to Gupha Pokhari, Gurja Gaon, Dovan, Mitlung, Chhirwa passing through dense rhododendron forests, traditional villages along banks of Tamur Koshi river. From Chhirwa travelers pass through Sekathum, Amjilasa, Gyabla, Ghunsa and rest at Ghunsa for acclimatization. Gunsa is the highland village of Tibetan and Buddhist culture inhabited by people of Tibetan ethnicity. After getting more energetic from rest the travelers continue their travel from Ghunsa to Khambachen, Lhonak, Pangpema, finally to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp. At Kanchenjunga, a north base camp travelers can enjoy the views of the snowcapped Himalayas and high glaciers of Kanchenjunga along with canyons of mountain glacier where water flows all the time. The falling scene of avalanches in this region is the captivating scene of Kanchenjunga northern base camp. The travelers then travel from lhonak to Ghunsa following with Mirgin La, Tseram, Oktang till they reach Kanchenjunga South Base Camp. During their travel to south base camp the travelers pass through thin forest accompanied mani walls, prayer flags hanging over the tree, mountains goats and yaks grazing over the hills. During ascending from Mirgin Lo to Tseram the travelers will travel through nearly desert zone and stony trails. Following the trails, the travelers will encounter Lapsang La glacier, Mirgin La glacier, and snow-capped mountains finally the rest at Tseram villages with very few stone roof houses and yak sheds. During the trekking trail, the travelers will witness the Yalung glacier and Lapsang glacier along with perspectives of snowcapped Kanchenjunga and surrounding Himalaya peaks. As travelers move forwards to closeby of the south base camp of Kanchenjunga base camp passing through Oktang glacier finally they reach the zone with panoramic views of Mount Jannu, Kanchanjunga along with surrounding peaks near the border of India. After spending some time in the south base camp of Kanchenjunga the travelers then travel from Oktang to Tseram, Yamphudin, Kkhebang, Tharpu, Gopetar and finally passing through from Phidim and Illam travelers reach Kathmandu.
