The farming of Kiwi fruit is a new concept in Nepal because this fruit is not originated in Nepal and it is brought from foreign country for commercial farming. The Kiwi Fruit farming is the commercial fruit farming meant to be sold for export purposes as it is not the native fruit of Nepal. The Kiwi Fruit is originated from China which is generally known as Chinese gooseberry. The kiwi fruit is consumed as general fruit, jam, juice, ice-cream, flavors, and wine e.t.c. The main feature of this fruit is for its multipurpose as a nutrition food that is meant for a long list of diseases and is a best suited for patients and general healthy eating. This fruit has a medically rewarding value being the most demanding fruit in the international market.

Nepal is one of the best suited locations for Kiwi fruit farming as it grows in higher altitudes. The mountainous region climate is fit for Kiwi fruit farming as it requires 900-3000 meters altitude along with enough water in dry season to grow well. This fruit is considered as cash crops as it has the international market demand and farmers can sell it in international market. The Kiwi fruit is considered fruit as it is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E along with potassium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, potassium and dietary fiber. The Kiwi fruit is considered as healthy fruit as it is a good nutrition food for patients of different diseases like digestive diseases, blood pressure, DNA damages, immunity decreases, weight loss, cleaning out body toxins, heart disease, diabetes, macular degeneration, alkaline balance, skin diseases e.t.c.
